Benita Capps started her career in insurance in 1987 while still going to Purdue University full time. With a commitment to serving the insurance needs of residents throughout Northwest Indiana, she went on to open Central Agency Insurance from scratch in 1990.  After decades of serving clients from her office in Portage, she moved her office to Valparaiso to be closer to where she resides. She can now help clients in the additional states of IL and FL, as well as IN.

While Benita is fully licensed to help with all areas of insurance her specialty is helping with business and commercial insurance lines. Her vast knowledge in commercial insurance allows her to advise businesses on the various types of coverages they need that they may not even be aware of. She has a full staff of licensed agents that can also help with all lines of insurance.

Benita still resides in Porter County, giving her an inside look into the needs of her clients. She has personally trained all of her staff and passed on both her knowledge and dedication to customer service to all of the agents. When not working Benita enjoys music, traveling, playing with her dog Zeke, and spending time with her boyfriend.
